Supporting multiple concurrent users and built upon the high performance Microsoft SQL Server database engine, LensMate Lab provides the tools necessary for your lab to produce conventionally surfaced and/or finished lenses.

Two Editions
LensMate Lab is available in two additions. The full edition is designed for locations with lens surfacing operations, while the LE edition is designed for locations with only lens finishing operations. The editions work well together, so you can run the LE edition in your satellite locations, where you trace frames, enter patient prescriptions, record processing notes, and save jobs over the Internet to your central lab that runs the full edition for surface processing.
Subscription License
This subscription license allows unlimited use of the software and access to all software updates, lens database upgrades, and technical support for 12 months. Continued use of the software after expiration of the subscription term requires subscription renewal.

- Processing speed – Client/server architecture minimizes workstation processing loads and network traffic because queries are run at the database server and only the results are returned across the network to the requesting workstation.

LensMate application (Rx calculation and reporting)
- Intelligent job entry and surface calculations – Easily enter client, lens, and frame data on the fly or link to previously entered information with a mouse click. The calculation engine produces a detailed work ticket for both the surface and finish departments.
- Patient database – Capture comprehensive patient information, including prescription history for each. Easily recall jobs by patient assignment.
- Lens database – Includes an extensive database of technical specifications and barcodes from most major lens manufacturers. Records can be grouped, sorted, and searched. Easily add unpublished lenses as needed.
- Frame database – Store frame data for easy reuse. Attach tracing data to a frame for the utmost accuracy.
- Lap tool database (full edition only) – Keep your lap tool inventory current and know instantly if the proper tools are in stock for each job.
- Reports – The Lens Use report simplifies ordering by providing information on each lens used, including quantity, barcode, and product description. The report can be grouped by manufacturer or lens class and can be filtered by date. The Lens Use Summary report reveals usage trends.
- Setups and custom configuration (full edition only) – With so many different lens materials on the market, establishing individual settings for each is essential for accurate processing. Use the setup editor to define an unlimited number of surface room defaults and fining and polishing parameters.
DevCom Server (device communications manager)
- Multi-threaded service application provides interface capability with the latest Optek devices and those of most other manufacturers.
DevCom Console
- Desktop application provides secure, encrypted configuration of DevCom Server instances running locally or on remote systems.
